The project focuses on the design of a sustainable educational building in Cyprus. Main issues that were considered include: provision for CII parking areas, evaluation of building options (one volume or multiple), integration with natural environment, sustainable design. Sustainability was central in the design proposal in terms of: building orientation, size and number of openings, overhangs, renewable energy (geothermal, solar PVs, wind turbines), stormwater collection, natural ventilation, passive cooling and thermal comfort.
